The dogs in this group were bred for guarding and herding various kinds of cloven-footed animals. They have a thick weatherproof coat designed to be out in all weathers. They can be quite protective of their family and tend to be fairly easy to train. They are highly intelligent and can quickly become bored and destructive if not given a job to do.
